Photography

The set of photographs represents a thread of social connection that exists in Co. Wicklow. Initially, Finn chose a subject that he already knew, and following their shoot and interview, asked them to introduce him to somebody that they knew in their social network. This pattern continued three times, uncovering three social threads and resulting in photography sets of 14 people.

Each subject was photographed at a place of their choosing, somewhere that they felt a connection with. They were then asked about their relationship with their social connection and what was special about the place they had chosen to be photographed. The photography was made over the course of two years.
